Koblenz - not only to the federal garden show worth a visit

The Rhineland-Palatinate city of Koblenz in 2011 host the National Garden Festival. As the exhibition area are described including the fortress Ehrenbreitstein, the Electoral Palace and the German Corner.

But the city not only attracts flower lovers in their spell.
Koblenz can look back on more than two thousand years. After the settlement by the Romans in 9 AD, the "Castrum ad confluentes" (camp at the confluence) was established by which the city's present name derives Koblenz.

The old town also offers visitors some wonderful churches in confined spaces, such as the Romanesque Church of Our Lady, between 12 and 15 Century was built, or the Romanesque-Gothic Florin Church (12th-14th centuries). The Basilica of St. Castor
